I found a coffee shop named Fonti at Robinsons place General Santos when I vacationed there. I was introduced to the owner and found out that Lisa was a former law student, loves to bake cookies and patries and prepare panta dishes. She would whip up their favorite dishes and match it with their favorite choice of coffee, tea or fresh juices. Her passion for culinary arts fueled her desire of opening a coffee shop and finally materialized when she met up with hotelier friends who encouraged her. She said Robinsons was a perfect set-up for them because they targeted busy housewives who look for places to unwinds, husbands who wait on for their wives, who are busy malling, and even media men who enjoy a good cup of coffee while eying some news bits. Fonti, which is an Italian for foruntain or natural spring with flowing water was perfect a perfect name for their coffee shop, Lisa’s friends, Abi and Jasmine chose the name because they visualized that food and drinks continously flowed at the coffee shop, and that Fonti was a place where friends and nice conversations lingered. What sets fonti apart from other coffee shops in Gen. San is its wide assortment of coffee blends and concoctions. Their coffee menu are well complimented with their assortment of cakes, cookies and pastries. I especially love their luscious cappuccino it’s coffee with a twist. I recommend this coffee shop with avid coffee drinkers..
