Coffee withdrawl

I used to drink a cup of coffee every morning as soon as I got to work. I would have a cup with some sugar usally two packets and a shot of milk. Then I was told by a doctor that coffee was not a good thing for me to be drinking because it can dehydrate you. Well, I decided to stop cold turkey. I do not get enough water in the day as it is, so I figured that the coffee was only adding to my problems that I was having. Stopping cold turkey for me was hard the first day. I started to walk to the coffee maker to pour a cup, but then remembered that it would dehydrate me so I opted not to pour any, not even a little.
I have been going without any coffee for about 3 weeks now, and I would love a cup right now. I have not really noticed any side effects except that i have been exhausted for the past two weeks. Wondering if this correlates with the coffee withdrawl. I would think I would be sleeping better than what I have been without the caffeine in my system. Maybe I should just go to decaf?
