Coffee Lovers Enjoy Good Company
Many Americans begin their morning routine with a fresh cup of coffee. It’s a trend that gradually started during the colonial days. Tea was actually more popular than coffee during those days but tea came with a hefty price. The British imposed taxes on tea so that’s when many Americans made the choice to switch over to coffee.
The popularity of coffee has a lot to do with the stimulating effects of the caffeine it contains. However, there is a social aspect to this popular drink as well. This can be seen in the growing number of coffee houses which are very popular hang out spots. These places give people a gathering spot where they can meet up and read the newspaper, work at the lap top or just plain socialize while enjoying their favorite hot beverage.
