Homemade Instant Cappuccino Mix
Buying ready cappuccino mixes can become an expensive habit. If you take a look at the prices for those small jars or mixes and compare them to your normal coffee you will see the price is quite different.
For frugal living and a cappuccino that tastes just like the ones you buy ready here is the recipe to use:
Homemade Instant Cappuccino Mix
3/4 cup instant coffee (granules)
1 cup non-dairy creamer (powder)
1 cup instant hot chocolate (powder)
Mix all ingredients in a blender. Store in an airtight container. Use 2-3 tsp of mixture per cup; add hot water (or milk for a even creamier taste).
That is the basic recipe but if you want to experiment with flavors you can try the below. You may want to add ingredients according to taste.
Additional flavors to add;
1tbls vanilla powder or 1 vanilla stick (put the vanilla stick with the ready mix)
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
2tsp cinnamon
1tbls dried orange peel
Giving away a jar of your own Instant Cappuccino mix is a great way to show appreciation to someone. That and home made cookies can be a perfect gift. Although it won’t last long it will always be remembered.
