So You Want to Own A Coffee House #1 - Location

Opening your own shop can be an exciting venture but there are many things to take into consideration before rushing to get a loan and buying that prospective shop that could get you on your way. You need to find the right employees, get a specific and unique look going, think about what type of music you will play, get the right seating down, and much more

For instance, searching for a great location has to be a top priority and in doing so you need to factor in a good mid to high traffic area and figure out if there are any other coffee shops in your area. You especially have to check for the top lines such as Starbucks.

It’s unrealistic at this point to think that you won’t find two top coffee chains right outside your home but that is why you need to move around and not just consider getting a place nearby. Depending on where you live and your living situation such as your a rent instead of a homebuyer, you may be able to find a shop off the beaten path that has an apartment above that you could live in or use simply as an office.

As I said, don’t just shop around your own neighborhood. Let friends and family know and they will be able to keep an eye out on potential shops for sale for you as well.
